Industrial Workers of the World
"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common. There can
be no peace so long as hunger and want are found among millions of the
working people and the few, who make up the employing class, have all the
good things of life."
So begins the preamble to the IWW constitution. We are a local branch of the
Industrial Workers of the World, a union dedicated to organizing all workers
into the one big union dedicated to the overthrow of the ruling class.
The Winnipeg General Memebership branch meets monthly, on the second Tuesday of the month, at
the Workers' Organizing Resource Centre, Mezzanine level of 280 Smith Street at 5:30 pm. For more information on the union, check out
